Do Your Work & Play Homework-o-poly!!

  How Do I Play?

In order for a student to play the game, he or she must complete their homework each week,
Monday through Friday. The game will be played every Friday morning, as part of Fun Friday Awards!
If the student misses a homework assignment when it is due, they don't get their chance to shake the die and
move for the week.  Throughout the year, week by week, we  will keep the game going.
This is how the student moves around the game board:
Each student will have a game piece tacked to the board, and they will move their piece each week
by shaking the die and moving the number spaces according to the die.  Much like Monopoly,
there are special spaces where prizes can be won, such as:

  • MYSTERY PRIZE-When a student lands on this space, they can pick a prize from the treasure box,
candy jar, or pick a class gift card.

  • BRAINBINDERS-These are foldable paper puzzles that range from very easy to very challenging.

  • GAME SPOT-The game spot is used for free time to play a  class game or on the computer.

  • FREE HOMEWORK-The student gets a free homework pass when landing on this space.

  • TAKE A SEAT ON THE BUS-When a student lands here, they go to the yellow square diagonally
across the board and sit there. When on this square, this student will be a special helper for the day.
Duties may include reading to the class, writing on the board, etc.

  • GO-When passing go, the student may receive a treat from the candy jar.
