About Mrs. Pelland

Hello! My name is Mrs. Kristie Pelland and I am so happy that you’d like to get to know more about me! I am not only a teacher, but also a wife and a mother. I’ve been married since 1999, and I have two daughters named Lillian (Lilly) and Mia.

     This will be my fourteenth year teaching at St. Mary’s Primary School. I started out teaching fifth grade Language Arts & Social Studies for 8 years. Then I taught fourth and fifth grade Language Arts for two years. I have taught 2nd grade for three years now and absolutely love it!
     I received my Bachelor’s Degree as a dual major in Elementary Education & Sociology from Bridgewater State College. While teaching at St. Mary’s, I completed my Master’s Degree in Curriculum Development & Instruction, with a Specialization in Literacy, from Lesley University.
     Aside from teaching at St. Mary’s, I have worked the Extended Care Program, choreographed many of the school plays, including Fiddler on the Roof and Aladdin (to name a couple), and I have served as a member of the Diocesan Language Arts Committee.
